Westfield

Welcome to Westfield

The new growth of Westfield has brought it to the attention of potential buyers, but this affluent, history-rich community has long been worthy of recognition.

Among the tree-lined residential streets and local shops, up-and-coming development projects are bringing a palpable buzz to the city of Westfield, Indiana. Affordable in comparison to city living and yet undeniably upscale, this rising community is overflowing with desirable attributes. The town’s European settlement dates back all the way to 1669, when it was the farthest-west Massachusetts Colony in the nation, and contributes to its vibrant character.

Westfield was officially incorporated in 1920 and sits positioned between the dazzling communities of Carmel and Noblesville. A mid-sized population of nearly 40,000 residents gives the city a suburban-meets-urban feel, emphasized by the balance between quiet cul-de-sacs and access to major commuter throughways.

As the town of Westfield continues to expand, so, too, does its number of desirable residential enclaves. Premier builders have their hands full with the rapid growth, and the market is saturated in eager buyers ready to carve out their own paradise on large lots or in gated communities. Homes are typically spacious single-family houses or executive abodes and can vary between golf-course locations and positions in the heart of Downtown.

Local Lifestyle

Westfield ranks among the best cities in the state for maintaining a fit, healthy lifestyle. Due in part to the recent development of the massive Grand Park Sports Complex and in part to the abundance of green spaces, Westfield plans to continue improving the lives of its residents through top-notch amenities and resources.

Dining, Entertainment, & Shopping

Westfield is recognized as a wellspring of culinary excellence, and what the town lacks in major retail it more than makes up for in incredible restaurants. Big Hoffa’s Smokehouse is notable for its sumptuous barbecue fare and hearty smoked ribs, while The Local Eatery & Pub is often recognized for its farm-to-table fare and adventurous menu.

Grand Junction Brewing Company was cultivated from the strong, English heritage of its creators, and strives to stay true to the traditions of European beers. Urban Vines Winery & Brewery is entirely dedicated to small-batch brewing and handcrafted wines, each infused with the passionate spirit of the owners. When searching for the ideal date-night spot for those special occasions, The Italian House on Park is revered for its sumptuous cuisine and romantic outdoor seating.

Things to Do

Recently developed and one of the most-visited destinations in Westfield, the new Grand Park Sports Complex boasts more than 400-acres of campus grounds, 31 multi-purpose fields, 26 baseball diamonds, and 3 indoor facilities. It’s the location for the Colts Training Camp, as well as home to the Indiana Pacers Athletic Camp.

Golfers will want to check out the lush fairways of Chatham Hills, the luxury golf club and community that abounds with enviable amenities and a steady rotation of social events. The two courses at Chatham Hills — an 18-hole and 9-hole — were designed by revered golf architect Pete Dye and were made to be highly enjoyable to players of all levels.

Still in development, the Grand Junction Plaza is likely to become the crown jewel of Westfield upon completion. A grand vision of connection, verdant green space, and commercial activity lies at the heart of development plans for Grand Junction Plaza, which will include wetlands, boardwalks, an amphitheater, a central fountain, and even an ice rink.
